Updated description of Vegetation survey of Chapel Mires in Lunan catchment, Scotland from
The map and associated data is an output from a project to explore the potential for innovative management of water levels and flows in the Lunan Water, an agricultural catchment in Eastern Scotland. The goal is to enhance water ecosystem services across a range of beneficiaries. This is in response to local demand for flood risk mitigation and wetland conservation, and regulatory concerns about water quality and low flows. It was produced from a rapid appraisal of National Vegetation Classification (NVC) classes over the site, supported by survey with an RTK-GPS and aerial photographs in June 2017.
