The project to create a natural asset register was funded by RESAS (Scottish Government) from 2016 to 2021. The website was taken offline in September 2026 due to a need for an increasing resource to maintain it and over cyber security concerns. The resources served by the resource continue to be available from repositories (e.g. Zenodo) and our main download page at Soil maps Metadata can be viewed at the Scottish Government portal
