Management or Restoration of Hedgerows is a management option available under the Agro-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS) of the Scottish Rural Development Plan (SRDP). The targeting maps used in AECS are based on a threshold of species richness of priority species that would be positively affected by the management option. The heat map of species richness shows the density of species per 10 km x 10 km OS grid square, and the target map shows where funding would be available if the threshold were set to 15 species.
